Chelsea team news: N'Golo Kante out with thigh injury, but David Luiz and Thibaut Courtois face Middlesbrough

Tom Doyle8 May 2017

Antonio Conte has been forced to shuffle his Chelsea side for the visit of Middlesbrough with PFA Player of the Year N'Golo Kante missing out due to injury.

Kante has an issue with his thigh in the build-up to the match and is sidelined, but there is better news for Conte elsewhere as David Luiz and Thibaut Courtois are fit.

Goalkeeper Courtois is available after getting treatment on an injured right ankle on a daily basis, while Luiz starts despite his struggles with knee and groin problems.

Other senior squad members have been seen leaving Stamford Bridge or boarding the coach at away games with a bit of a limp or strapping around a part of their leg in recent weeks.

Chelsea need just two wins to confirm themselves as Premier League champions, though Steve Agnew's Boro are battling against relegation tonight.

Chelsea XI: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Fabregas, Matic, Alonso; Pedro, Costa, Hazard
Subs: Begovic, Terry, Zouma, Ake, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Willian

Boro XI: Guzan, Fabio, Chambers, Gibson, Friend, De Roon, Clayton, Forshaw, Traore, Negredo, Downing
Subs: Dimi, Barragan, Bernardo, Leadbitter, Guedioura, Bamford, Gestede
