Chelsea are considering relaxing their stance over Juan Cuadrado in order to get their money back.

Cuadrado has failed to impress since joining from Fiorentina for £26.1m in January and initially the club insisted they would only let him leave if they sell him for the same amount.

However, now they may be persuaded to accept a loan with the option to buy, in the same way Mohamed Salah was allowed to join Roma this summer.

Juventus have already expressed an interest in the Colombia international, having failed with enquiries for Ramires and Oscar.

Chelsea have looked a shadow of the side that won the title with ease last term but Diego Costa is not concerned. He said: “We need to improve right now, we need to do things better, but we need to keep a cool head and communicate better.
