Chelsea hope Juventus interest in Nemanja Matic will help them complete a deal for Alex Sandro.

The Blues are willing to spend £61m on Sandro as well as double his wages to in excess of £100,000-a-week, but Juve continue to raise the fee and are now demanding in the region of £65m.

However, Chelsea have a bargaining tool in negotiations of their own after the Serie A club renewed their interest in Matic.

The Serbia international wants to leave Stamford Bridge due to concerns over his first team place due to the imminent arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has arrived in London to complete a £40m deal from Monaco.

Juventus wanted to buy the 28-year-old last summer only for Conte to block his departure to any club.

Chelsea are more prepared to listen to offers now with Matic having only two years of his current deal left to run.

Inter Milan have already made an enquiry over a £35.4m transfer, but Chelsea want at least £40m.

The signing of Bakayoko, who is in London to have a medical and had dinner with Chelsea duo Willian and David Luiz at a restaurant in Mayfair last night, played a major part in Nathaniel Chalobah joining Watford for £5.5m.
