Chelsea have been told they will have to pay £30.8m to buy Real Madrid defender Danilo.

Coach Antonio Conte wants Danilo to compete with Victor Moses for the right wing back position and the Brazil international is prepared to leave the Bernabeu.

Chelsea are only prepared to pay up to £28m for the former Porto star, who has made 55 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Porto for £27.7m in 2015.

The 25-year-old still has four years left on his contract to run and the La Liga club will only sell if they make a profit.

Chelsea, who are also in talks with Real Madrid over a £70m deal for striker Alvaro Morata, are not willing to meet their demands just yet and hope to pay below the asking price.

The arrival of Danilo could help the Blues in their pursuit of Juventus left back Alex Sandro as the duo are very close friends.
