The agent of controversial striker Mario Balotelli believes Jose Mourinho wants to sign him for Chelsea.

Balotelli, 23, joined AC Milan for £19m in January after a volatile two-and-a-half year spell at Manchester City came to an end.

Mourinho knows the Italy international well having worked with him earlier in his coaching career at Inter Milan, although their relationship was tense at times as the forward was disciplined on more than one occasion.

Chelsea are expected to buy another striker next year even though Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o’s form has improved of late.

And Balotelli’s representative Mino Raiola said: "Balotelli and Mourinho could be reunited because they know each other and they didn’t leave each other with hate.

“There was a not very nice incident between them, but they parted company on good terms. They have remained in contact and there is mutual respect.

“I know Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani will not agree, but Mario is a great striker. That is for certain and he could perhaps be that at Chelsea.”
