Ruben Loftus-Cheek is relishing playing alongside Chelsea summer recruit N'Golo Kante and believes the club are 'lucky' to have landed the French star.
Kante sealed a £32million move from Leicester earlier this month, penning a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, and will join up with his new team-mates during their pre-season tour of North America.
The France international played a crucial role as the Foxes upset the odds to dethrone Premier League champions Chelsea and also impressed with his national side as the hosts fell at the final hurdle at Euro 2016.
And Loftus-Cheek has been impressed with what he's seen from Kante, who rose to prominence relatively late following a move to the King Power Stadium from Caen aged 24.
"Definitely [excited about the signing of Kante], he is a great asset to us," Loftus-Cheek told Goal. "His stamina and how he can get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes [is impressive]. He is a really good player so we are lucky to have him.
"He is a really hard worker and he is a proper team player. We could do with that in midfield and he could really help.
"Some people’s careers take off at different moments, he wasn’t on the radar but then for Leicester City he has done really well, won a title for them and now he is going to be playing for Chelsea so I am really happy for him and the club are really happy to have him."
Meanwhile, Kante's team-mates havee arrived in Los Angeles ahead of three pre-season friendlies in North America.
Antonio Conte's side will face Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan before returning to Europea ahead of the new Premier League season.
