Chelsea look to tie up £10million deal for Victor Moses

Chelsea hope to complete the £10million signing of Wigan striker Victor Moses over the weekend.

The Blues had a bid rejected by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan earlier this week but boss Roberto Di Matteo wants to push through a deal as soon as possible.

Chelsea’s offer is expected to be £7million with add-ons, taking the sum for the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool, up further.

Wigan want a big sum up front because Moses’ former club Crystal Palace are due around 20 per cent of the profit.

Moses is keen to join Chelsea, who returned to pre-season training on Thursday.
