Chelsea open to Callum Hudson-Odoi loan exit amid Bayern Munich links

Frank Lampard has said he is open to Callum Hudson-Odoi leaving Chelsea on loan - if the deal is right for the player and the club.

Reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich are in talks with Chelsea over a sensational loan move for Hudson-Odoi before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Hudson-Odoi is yet to start in the Premier League this season and the 19-year-old winger faces increased competition for a regular spot in the team following the signings of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz.

Bayern Munich have a long-term interest in Hudson-Odoi and Lampard has said he would consider letting him, Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave on loan.

“With every player in the squad, if it is a situation of a loan you have to consider what is best for the player, what is best for the club first and foremost, and then see how it stacks up," Lampard said.

“With all those three players I will always take those things into consideration. I have not got an answer on any of those three.

"I have a good relationship with them all and speak honestly with them. That is one we will broach player by player over the next few days.

“Once the window shuts every player here within our squad will be used because there is a long season and a lot of competition coming up.

"We will know more on Monday.”
