The Football Association are not expected to take any action against Jose Mourinho over his bust-up with club doctor Eva Carneiro.

Mourinho’s clash with the medic during the game against Swansea last month has been investigated by the FA’s compliance department after a member of the public protested in the past few days.

The Chelsea boss was seen shouting angrily at both Dr Carneiro and head physio Jon Fearn after they rushed on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard.

A video of the exchange was put on the internet and it has been alleged that Mourinho used “abusive and sexist” language against Carneiro.

The FA are still studying video evidence of the incident, but Standard Sport understands it is highly unlikely that Mourinho will have a case to answer. Dr Carneiro and Fearn were demoted from first-team duties after the match.

Dr Carneiro has not been to work since being told she would not be required on the bench at games and would no longer travel with the team.

It has been reported that she is considering legal action.
