Charlton will begin their first Championship campaign in three years with a trip to Birmingham City on August 18.

Chris Powell’s men face a club who lost in last year’s play-off semi-finals and are searching for a new manager after Chris Hughton moved to Norwich to succeed Paul Lambert.

Charlton fans will look forward to September 15 when south London rivals Crystal Palace visit The Valley for the first time since 2009.

Palace host Watford on the opening day of the season while Millwall are at home to Blackpool, who lost in last season’s Play-off Final to West Ham.

In Leagues One and Two, AFC Wimbledon are the only London side to begin their campaign at home as they face Chesterfield.

Brentford and Leyton Orient both have long trips north to Bury and Tranmere respectively while Barnet will go to Port Vale and Dagenham & Redbridge are at Cheltenham.
