Liverpool have booked their place in a second consecutive Champions League final with another remarkable European comeback.

The Reds scored four times in front of their own fans on Tuesday to wipe out Barcelona's first leg lead in stunning fashion.

The Champions League is littered with stunning comebacks, but was where does Tuesday’s rank compared with the competition’s other stunning stories?

Possibly the most extraordinary final in the competition’s history, Liverpool fought back from three goals down (sound familiar?) before beating the Rossoneri on penalties.

After they were taken apart in Paris, Barcelona trailed 4-0 after the first leg of their round of 16 tie.

What followed in the Camp Nou was something special, with Sergi Roberto scoring Barcelona’s sixth goal deep in injury time to send his side through.

Barcelona have been on the receiving end of a stunning comeback before. In the last eight last season, they fought they were heading into the semi-finals after a 4-1 win in the first leg. Roma had other ideas.

The Spaniards memorably sent defending champions Milan crashing out of the competition, overturning a three-goal first leg deficit inside the opening 43 minutes before Gonzalez Fran scored the fourth that sent his side through.

United were undone at Old Trafford and travelled to the French capital with 10 members of their squad ruled out.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s patched-up side kept the tie alive through a brace through Romelu Lukaku before Marcus Rashford converted a VAR-approved penalty in the final minute.

Before guiding United to that win over PSG, Solskjaer was responsible for perhaps United’s most famous night - netting the winner as United scored twice in injury time to win the trophy in 1999 after Bayern Munich had led for 90 minutes.
