Manchester City and Chelsea will tonight go head to head in the Champions League Final after the Premier League rivals saw off Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid respectively in the semi-finals.

Man City breezed through the second leg of their semi-final against PSG. With both sides chasing their first ever Champions League triumph, City headed into the return leg 2-1 up - and two goals from Riyad Mahrez secured a 2-0 win on the night, and 4-1 on aggregate, to book their spot in the final.

Chelsea then joined City to tee up an all-English final as goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount secured a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on the night, and a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Champions League Final...

When is the Champions League final 2021?

The 2020/21 Champions League will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Champions League final kick-off time

Today’s match will get underway at 8pm BST. With the possibility of extra-time and a penalty shootout, the game could go on until around 11pm.

Champions League final venue

The match was originally scheduled to take place at Attaturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

However, Turkey was added to the UK’s ‘red list’ for travel following a rise in coronavirus cases.

Given that decision, UEFA considered moving the game to Wembley - but revealed that despite “exhaustive efforts” by the English FA, it had not been possible to earn the necessary quarantine exemptions for sponsors, VIPs and broadcasters from the Government for an all-English final on home soil.

Therefore, the final was moved to Portugal, with Porto’s Estadio do Dragao hosting the match.

Champions League final tickets

Chelsea have returned as many as 900 tickets after fans opted against purchasing.

Around a sixth of their allocation, understood to be mainly from the 3,000 charter packages which included flights to Porto, were sent back to Uefa last week.

Prices ranged from £60.50 for a matchday ticket to £515 for a full travel package to Porto. Chelsea, along with Man City, were given around 5,800 tickets each.

City have sold out their allocation, with owner Sheikh Mansour funding the travel costs for supporters.

Who is performing at the opening ceremony?

DJ and producer Marshmello will kick things off with a virtual performance. Marshmello said: “This really has been a year like no other. I’m looking forward to giving my sport, music and pure entertainment fans a show like they have never seen.”

What about next season?

Istanbul was also supposed to host the 2019/20 Champions League Final, which was relocated to Lisbon, and Uefa said they would “urgently look into future opportunities” for the Turkish city.
