Arsenal are top of the Premier League after victory against Everton, but can they win the league title?

The defeat of Roberto Martinez’s side continued what has been an outstanding recent run, taking in victories against Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

After years of doubt as to Arsenal’s stomach against the top sides 2015 has seen them emphatically fix their issues against rivals, starting with their 2-0 victory against Manchester City in January. That match set the tone for more defensive displays against title rivals.

Arsene Wenger’s last topped the table after the opening day of last season, but the last time they sustained a run at the summit of the Premier League was from September 2013 to February 2014.
