It feels as if every game is pretty much must-win for Liverpool at the moment as they look to close the gap on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League and that is certainly the case as they take on Burnley on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side closed the gap to on City to nine points by beating Leicester on Thursday night and they boast a game in hand, though City duly dispatch Norwich with ease on Saturday to go nine clear.

If Liverpool are going to catch City, you feel they need to embark on the kind of winning run that has been a feature of pretty much all of Pep Guardiola’s League title wins.

Burnley boosted their survival hopes with an excellent result of their own in midweek, coming from behind to earn a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
