Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been spotted visiting a school in Cobham just three miles away from the Chelsea training ground.

Just 24 hours after being snapped riding the London Underground the news that Rodgers has visited a school in Surrey will only heighten speculation linking the out-of-work manager with a role at one of west London’s struggling sides.

Both Fulham and QPR are searching for a new boss having recently sacked Kit Symons and Chris Ramsey, though the proximity of the ACS International School to the Cobham training ground raises the possibility of a return to Rodgers’ former club.

The Northern Irishman, who was sacked by Liverpool last month after a run of one normal-time win in nine matches, served in the Chelsea backroom as reserve team manager during Jose Mourinho’s first spell at Stamford Bridge.

Under-fire Chelsea manager Mourinho had claimed last month that Rodgers deserved more time at Liverpool before being replaced by Jurgen Klopp.

He told the Daily Mail: “I don't like people being excited that a new manager is coming. I don't like a player to say, 'Now, we are going to give extra to prove to the new manager'. Give to Brendan! Not to the new manager.”

However one fan was not enthused by the possibility of a return to Chelsea, in whatever role, was far from appealing.
