Brazilian football icon turned London intern Ronaldo fills up his trolley at Sainsbury's

He may be a global football icon and one of the most decorated players in the game, but Ronaldo still has to stock up at the supermarket like the rest of us.

The 37 year-old World Cup winner, posted a photo of himself on Instagram at a London branch of the supermarket, stocking up on bananas, cucumbers, pineapples and lean mince, among others.

Ronaldo is currently based in London as part of his venture away from football and into the world of advertising.

The former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan star is working as an intern for the global advertising firm WPP, run by multimillionaire CEO Sir Martin Sorrell.

We suspect Ronaldo's choice of supermarket may have something to do with WPP-owned agency Maxus working closely with the supermarket chain.
