Eden Hazard ensured he would not go the full 12 months without a Premier League by breaking his duck in a convincing win against Bournemouth.

The Belgian looked understandably delighted when he opened his league account for the season in the first half, extending Chelsea’s early lead after Pedro had put the visitors in front in the sixth minute.

Bournemouth would hit a quick-fire reply to half the deficit at the break, before Willian and Hazard's second of the game finished off a fine move to clinch the points for Guus Hiddink’s side.

The record books will show Cesc Fabregas supplied all-three assists, but in truth the Cherries’ defence was befitting of its name as Chelsea sliced through them with ease.

The victory sees the Blues move up to ninth spot.
