Dinamo Zagreb head to San Siro tonight to take on Atalanta knowing they have a golden opportunity to take a step towards the Champions League knockout stages.

Dinamo currently sit third in Group C, level on points with Shakhtar Donetsk. However, Shakhtar face a daunting trip to face Manchester City in matchday 5, while the Croatians take on bottom-of-the-pile Atalanta in Milan.

Despite picking up just a point so far, Atalata are still in with a slight chance of qualification: the Italians must beat Dinamo, hope Shakhtar lose to Man City, and then beat the Ukrainians away on match 6. Easy peasy...

Prediction: Atalanta 1-2 Dinamo

Atalanta have been unfortunate but spirited in their first ever Champions League group-stage outing, but are simply not good enough at either end.

With Shakhtar likely to fall to Man City, this is a perfect opportunity for Dinamo to make a play for second spot - and they will be going all out to take it.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

The two sides have met three times in Uefa competitions, with Dinamo winning once along with two draws.

Last time out, Dinamo crushed Atalanta 4-0 in Zagreb back in September.
