Arsenal could be without summer signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos when they face Leicester in Monday's Premier League clash after the defender was withdrawn at half time with an ankle problem.

The Greek international was replaced at the break during the 2-0 Nations League defeat to Finland, with reports in his home country citing an ankle issue.

The blow leaves Unai Emery dangerously thin at the back with just Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding left fully fit.

Both Laurent Koscielny and Konstantinos Mavropanos are still sidelined, though the former has insisted that, while unsure if he'll get back to his previous level, he will fight to make a return to the Gunners first team.

"I want to continue at Arsenal. I do not know what level I'm going to be at”, the club captain told Canal+.

“I haven't resumed training, but I want to fight."
