Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi was pleased to make his debut in the Champions League as Arsenal sealed qualification for the group stage after a 2-0 win against Fenerbahce.

The 20 year-old, who has been capped twice for Japan, is hoping to make an impact at the Gunners this season after loan spells at Feyenoord, Bolton Wanderers and most recently Wigan Athletic.

Miyaichi said after the match: "I was very happy to play tonight, it was obviously my first time playing in the Champions League."

“I was quite nervous but it was great to get some experience, I can learn a lot from that.

He added: “I want to try and stay injury free and play as many times this season as I can.”
