Jack Wilshere suffered the disappointment of being part of the England side that crashed out of Euro 2016 at the last-16 stage this summer, but the midfielder has now switched his focus to Arsenal after returning to training today.

The 24-year-old was pictured being put through his paces at Arsenal's London Colney training ground on Friday after returning from his holidays, and was seen doing mostly running exercises as his teammates participated in a game nearby.

Despite injury forcing him to make his first start for the Gunners last season in the team's 4-0 win over Aston Villa in May, Wilshere was included in Roy Hodgson's 23-man England squad for this summer's European Championships.

However, the tournament ended in disastrous fashion for the Three Lions as they were eliminated by Iceland in the last 16 before Wilshere jetted off to Santorini in Greece to try and get over England's woes.

There he began preparing for the upcoming season by posting an Instagram photo of himself in the gym along with the caption: "What's done is done, all I can do now is prepare for next season the best I can!"
