Aaron Ramsey is unlikely to be ready for the Premier League clash with Swansea despite returning to full training following a hamstring injury.

Ramsey has been absent since the opening day of the season and manager Arsene Wenger is reluctant to push him back into action given he felt pain when trying to step up his rehabilitation prior to the international break.

Francis Coquelin is expected to be fit, however, which represents a major boost given it was initially feared his knee injury could rule him out until December.

Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck are expected to remain on the sidelines until the New Year, while Mesut Ozil has allayed fears he could be set for a spell on the sidelines after being substituted at half-time while on international duty with Germany.

The 27-year-old wrote on Twitter: “Thanks for taking care because of my substitution but everything is all right guys.”
