Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster admits he was caught out by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's pace in his side's defeat to Arsenal.

Foster dallied on the ball after receiving a back pass inside the six yard area with Aubameyang sprinting into the box to charge down his attempted clearance.

The Gunners striker was rewarded for his efforts with his block diverting the ball into the back of the net for what turned out to be the game's winning goal.

Foster accepted the blame for one of the game's pivotal moments - the other being Troy Deeney's red card 60 seconds later - admitting the Arsenal striker was "too quick" for him.

"I've gone to kick it and before I know it he's bloody on me," Foster told Sky Sports.

"To be fair, he's absolutely rapid. I spoke to Bernd Leno at the end of the game and he said 'it's not your fault, he's too quick'. I'm gutted for the lads, though."
