Arsenal face a trip to Blackpool in the third round of the FA Cup, after the League One side overcame Solihull Moors 3-2 in a thrilling second round replay.

Blackpool raced into a 2-0 lead through Armand Gnanduillet and Joe Dodoo before non-league Solihull fought back with a double from Adi Yussuf to force extra-time.

But midfielder Jay Spearing's penalty was enough to see the home side through to set up a lucrative home clash against the Gunners.

The game had already been selected for television coverage, and will kick-off at 5:30pm on Saturday 5 January.

The tie will be Unai Emery's first in the competition, having won the French equivalent in each of the past two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners are set to start an FA Cup campaign without Arsene Wenger in the dugout for the first time in more than two decades.

The former boss won the cup seven times while in charge of the club, more than any manager in the competition's history.

Arsenal are the also the most successful club in FA Cup history, having won the famous trophy on 13 occasions, most recently in 2017.
