Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley has joined Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old spent the start of the season on loan with League One outfit Oxford United, making a total of 11 appearances for Michael Appleton's side.

But Crowley returned to the Emirates Stadium after the loan agreement was ended early amid reports of worries over his attitude.

And the midfielder is set to continue his immediate development in the top tier of Dutch football for the remainder of the current campaign.

An Arsenal statement read: "We'd like to wish Dan well for his time in the Netherlands.

"The move is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."

Crowley is yet to make a senior appearance for Arsenal and believes the style of football played in the Netherlands will aid his development.

"Dutch football is known as technical and tactical football. That fits me," Crowley told the Eagles' official website.

"In League One, which I played with Barnsley and Oxford United, still uses the long ball more.

"I am an attacking minded midfielder who likes to create opportunities for attackers.

"On the other hand I am very motivated to learn to provide more defensive support."
