Kieran Gibbs overcame an injury scare to make Arsene Wenger's starting XI for the visit of Burnley to the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger named an unchanged XI as England forward Theo Walcott was again on the bench, having recovered from a serious knee injury, as was Wales international Aaron Ramsey. Jack Wilshere, though, missed out because of a minor knee injury.

Burnley - still looking for a first league win since promotion - had midfielder Dean Marney back in the side after a hamstring problem. Marvin Sordell replaced Lukas Jutkiewicz in attack.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs,
Arteta, Flamini, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Sanchez.
Subs: Rosicky, Podolski, Walcott, Sanogo, Martinez, Bellerin,
Ramsey.

Burnley: Heaton, Trippier, Duff, Shackell, Ward, Boyd, Jones,
Marney, Arfield, Ings, Sordell. Subs: Wallace, Kightly,
Chalobah, Gilks, Keane, Mee, Jutkiewicz.
