Legia Warsaw have confirmed Krystian Bielik will fly to London on Friday to have a medical at the club.

The Gunners beat off competition from Hamburg after agreeing a fee in the region of £2.5million for the midfielder.

Standard Sport understands the Bundesliga club made an offer of 3m euros (£2.3m) but Arsenal have had a slightly higher bid accepted having had two previous bids rejected.

And Bielik is relishing a move to the Premier League after impressing during a short spell with Legia Warsaw.

The 17-year-old has made just five starts for the club since arriving at the beginning of this season but it is believed he has been been told by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that he will become part of the first-team squad immediately.

"I'm going to London to fulfill my dreams. I hope I will become an Arsenal player soon," the 17-year-old midfielder told Legia Warsaw's official website.

Legia coach Henning Berg hailed Bielik’s potential last night, adding: “He doesn’t have any weaknesses. He is a physical player with good skills, good understanding, a good match mentality and good decision-making in the game. For his age, he is quite far ahead compared to others in his age group.”
