Arsenal transfer news: Is this Lukas Podolski suggesting Sami Khedira is joining the Gunners?

Lukas Podolski has dropped the biggest hint yet that Germany team-mate Sami Khedira will end speculation and sign a deal at Emirates Stadium.

World Cup winner Khedira is expected to sort his future this week before taking a three-week break ahead of the new season.

The 27-year-old missed the World Cup final after picking up a calf injury in the pre-match warm-up at the Maracana.

But he touched down in Berlin with the rest of the squad on Tuesday and soaked up the welcome from over 500,000 adoring fans.

An open-top homecoming parade along the streets of Berlin ended with a presentation at the Brandenburg Gate, at which point Arsenal target Khedira was interviewed over a public address system.

Asked where he will be playing next season, the midfielder could barely get a response out before a team-mate, believed to be Lukas Podolski, was heard shouting 'Arsenal'.
