The German Football Association have confirmed Shkodran Mustafi's move to Arsenal from Valencia.

The 24-year-old will become one of the most expensive signings in the club's history after the Gunners agreed his £35million switch.

Arsene Wenger confirmed on Saturday the Germany international had undergone an Arsenal medical and revealed paperwork would be concluded before the player's official unveiling.

Mustafi will be joined by Deportivo de La Coruña striker Lucas Perez, who has also completed medical checks with the club ahead of his anticipated arrival.

And on Monday the German FA (Deutscher Fußball-Bund) confirmed Mustafi's Arsenal transfer.

A statement on their website read: "Arsenal have increased their quota of German players with the transfer of world champion Shkrodan Mustafi from Valencia."

Arsenal are expected to formally announce the transfer on Tuesday ahead of the summer transfer deadline on August 31.
