The start of the new Premier League season is now less than one week away, with plenty of clubs still scrambling around to wrap up their transfer business before the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Paul Pogba has arrived in England ahead of a potential world-record move back to Manchester United, while West Ham have signed left-back cover in the form of Arthur Masuaku.

Arsenal are still after a new striker and now have a potential defensive crisis with Gabriel's injury, while Standard Sport understands that Romelu Lukaku is still set on a dream return to Chelsea despite Everton lining up a £135,000-a-week contract offer.

Arsenal are considering offering €35m plus Olivier Giroud for Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, the Serie A side are thought to be resistant despite the departure of head coach Roberto Mancini, and will reportedly offer Icardi a new contract worth €5m a year.

Carlos Bacca may finally be open to a switch to West Ham, with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that the 29-year-old AC Milan striker has softened his stance on joining the Hammers.

The Hammers could also make a shock move for Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard, with The Sun reporting that the Norwegian prodigy a loan target for Slaven Bilic.

Everton are reportedly furious at Chelsea's attempts to unsettle Romelu Lukaku, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Standard Sport understands that Lukaku has decided on a Stamford Bridge return, but the Echo reports that Everton will not welcome any approaches for the striker.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both after Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman, reports the Mirror.

The 18-year-old has played 24 times for the Addicks, and a £2m offer could be enough for either Spurs or the Gunners to land the striker ahead of Liverpool.
