Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe will be the person to decide his future, the French club's owner Dmitry Rybolovlev has said.

Mbappe, 18, is wanted by a host of European sides after scoring 26 goals in all competitions for Ligue 1 champions Monaco last season, which included goals in the Champions League before the team were eliminated by runners-up Juventus at the last four stage.

The Ligue 1 champions also turned down a mammoth £105million offer from Champions League winners Real Madrid last month, and it is not yet clear whether Arsenal will make a second bid for Mbappe in the coming weeks and months.

However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was pictured with chief executive Ivan Gazidis in Nice last weekend as the club try and find a way to make a deal for Mbappe go through.

With the forward in demand this summer, Monaco owner Rybolovlev has reiterated the club's desire to keep Mbappe but admitted the player will make the final decision about where he will play next season.

When asked by France Football whether he could refuse a €100million (£86million) bid for Mbappe, Rybolovlev said: "We don't force things.

"Is he worth that sum? I don't know ... It's the market that will give the answer to that question.

"After that, it's the player who'll decide. In any case, we want Kylian to stay."
