Arsenal stars were busy training on Tuesday as Premier League clubs prepare to vote tomorrow to step up plans for the season to restart.

Mikel Arteta put his players through their paces at London Colney on Tuesday, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette enjoying the sunshine as they stepped up their fitness in socially-distanced sessions.

Arteta - who was the first Premier League player or coach to contract coronavirus back in March - was seen sporting a protective adidas mask during one section of training.

Arsenal and the other 19 Premier League clubs will vote on proposals for a return to contact training on Wednesday in what will prove a decisive week for Project Restart.

Club captains and managers are to be consulted on the proposals with representatives from both the PFA and LMA today ahead of the 20 clubs meeting as Project Restart plans continue to gather pace amid the coronavirus pandemic.
