Arsenal are interested in French midfielder Gilbert Imbula.
The 20-year-old plays for Ligue 2 side Guingamp and is valued at £8million.
The Gunners have moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Imbula but Lyon have also made an enquiry, according to the Daily Mail.
A former Arsenal target, Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, is close to finalising a move to Juventus.
