Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has undergone a scan on the thigh injury he aggravated against Tottenham on Sunday and will not travel to Ireland for the Gunners’ Europa League match with Dundalk on Thursday.

Partey returned to the Arsenal team on Sunday for the first time since November 8, but he was forced to come off just before half-time.

The Ghanaian felt an issue with his thigh, which he had previously injured against Aston Villa, and he has since undergone a scan.

Arsenal are waiting to learn the results and manager Mikel Arteta iss expected to have an update on Wednesday when he holds his press conference ahead of Thursday’s match with Dundalk.

The Gunners plan to train at their base in London Colney on Wednesday afternoon before flying to Ireland, but Partey will not travel.

Several youngsters will make the trip, though, with Arsenal already confirmed as Group B winners.
