Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin will donate over £19,000 to the British Red Cross to help Grenfell Tower fire victims.

At least 80 people lost their lives in the tower block fire in north Kensington on June 14, with the death toll expected to rise further.

Gunners right-back Bellerin promised that he would donate £50 for every minute he played at the European Under-21s Championships with Spain to help the victims.

Despite Bellerin ending up with just a runners-up medal as Spain were beaten 1-0 by Germany in the Final, the 22-year-old made good on his promise.

Bellerin announced on Twitter on Sunday morning that his 381 minutes of game time equated to a donation total of £19,050, which he would be passing on to the British Red Cross.

The Barcelona academy graduate - who has been in London since the age of 16 - also called on people to help in any way they could.
