Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil says he wishes he could help the club during their current maliase but knows he is unable to.

Mikel Arteta has overseen the club's worst start to a season in almost 50 years, though is understood to retain the backing of club bosses.

The World Cup winner conducted a Twitter question-and-answer session with fans and was asked about his happiness at the club.

"It's a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me," he responded.

He then added in a follow-up tweet: "But let's stay positive!"
