Bukayo Saka laments injury to ‘very important’ Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus at World Cup

Bukayo Saka says it is not good news for Arsenal that “very important” player Gabriel Jesus has suffered a knee injury.

Jesus injured his knee while playing for Brazil at the World Cup last week and has travelled back to London to see a specialist.

At present, it is unknown how bad the striker’s injury is and Saka is hoping that it isn’t too serious.

The winger has underlined just how vital Jesus is to the way Arsenal play, with the Brazilian enjoying a pivotal role in helping the Gunners climb to the top of the Premier League this season.

“He is a very, very, very, very important player for us and it’s not good to hear the news,” said Saka.

“Obviously I messaged him and I think he is going to go and see the doctor, and see what he needs to do for the next steps. But yeah, definitely it’s not good news when I heard that.”
