Arsenal's form in the second half of the season has convinced Santi Cazorla they will challenge for the Premier League title next year.

The Gunners have not won the title for nine years and are fighting with Chelsea and Spurs for the top-four finish that would secure Champions League football for next season.

Cazorla has been one of Arsenal’s best players during his first campaign in England but he knows the club must compete for the main prizes.

“Arsenal have gone eight years without one [trophy], which is a long time for a huge club,” said the winger. “We weren’t very consistent in the first half of the season but now we are a lot more so. I hope that next year will be another story.

“We want to be fighting for all the competitions and I’m sure we will.”
