Arsenal have rejected a fresh £30million offer from Aston Villa for Emile Smith Rowe.

Villa have already failed with an opening bid of £25m for Smith Rowe, who broke into the Arsenal first team last season.

Arsenal are adamant Smith Rowe is not for sale and they are in talks with the 20-year-old over a new contract.

The attacking midfielder’s current contract has two years to run and he is yet to agree fresh terms over a new deal.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta sees Smith Rowe as a key part of his plans going forward, hence the club swiftly rejecting Villa’s bids for him.

Villa, meanwhile, are determined to add to their squad this summer as they bid to fire themselves up the Premier League table.

The club have already signed Emi Buendia from Norwich and want to add Smith Rowe during the same transfer window if possible.
