Arsenal and Chelsea-target Julian Draxler has hinted once more that he may leave Schalke after voicing his frustration at playing out of position.
The 19-year-old has been tracked by some of Europe’s biggest sides in recent months, including the two London clubs.
However, the form of rookie Max Meyer in the playmaker role has seen the Germany international shifted out onto the left wing by manager Jens Keller, leaving the player unhappy with his current situation.
"I have now resigned myself to the fact that I am not welcome in the number 10 position here at Schalke," he told German magazine Kicker.
"I am still convinced to be as dangerous just outside the centre. Even though I perhaps am the only one who thinks this."
Draxler signed a new six-year deal in the summer, which includes a £45m release clause, but his latest revelation may encourage interest from the Premier League rivals once again.
He has previously suggested he would be open to a move to England, and admitted recently that joining Arsenal appealed to him after speaking with Germany team-mates Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker.
"I have always said English teams are very big clubs and Arsenal is of course one of them,” he said after Germany’s 1-0 win over England in November.
"Of course I sometimes speak to Mesut or Per about the team, about the club, and they always have good words and they tell me nice things.
“I have said every summer I have to look what is the best for me and I will do in the summer again and we will see what happens.
"You never know what happens in the summer, but Arsenal is a very, very nice team.”
