Arsenal fans will be able to get their hands on one of the club’s most iconic jerseys when Adidas release a remake of their famous ‘bruised banana’ strip on Thursday morning.

The kit, worn by the north London club from 1991-93, has already inspired this season’ away shirt, which is the first since Adidas resumed their partnership.

But now, as part of a Gunners retro collection, the German sportswear giant have produced a replica of the original shirt, complete with old club crest, Adidas Originals logo and V-neck collar.

To celebrate the kit’s launch, Adidas have released a video featuring some of the legends who wore the kit at the time – including Ian Wright and David Seaman – alongside their modern-day counterparts from both the men’s and women’s sides.

As well as the away shirt, the Adidas x Arsenal retro collection includes tracksuit tops and bottoms based on training attire from the time.

The bruised banana shirt goes on sale at 8.45am BST on Wednesday, 11 December, costing £74.95.
