Manchester United target Edinson Cavani has refused to rule out the possibility of a summer move away from Paris Saint Germain.

The 27-year-old, who is in Brazil preparing for Uruguay's must-win Group D match against Italy on Tuesday, moved to Paris in a £56million deal last summer.

Cavani was credited with stifling Steven Gerrard as Uruguay ended England's World Cup hopes on Thursday and could yet seal a move to the Premier League in the current window.

The former Napoli man, who scored 25 goals last season, is reportedly dissatsified with his wide role under Laurent Blanc, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic preferred through the middle.

And Cavani was open when asked about the possibility of a move away from the Parc des Princes after just 12 months.

"In football you never know. Anything can happen," declared the striker, who scored 25 goals in all competitions for PSG during his debut campaign.

"One day you’re in one team and they next day you can be in another."
