With Antonio Conte due to take over as manager at Stamford Bridge in the summer, his character will be key to turning Chelsea back into title winners and Champions League contenders.
Conte was announced as Chelsea’s new manager on Monday but won’t take over the role until after the Euro 2016 finals in France, where he will attempt to guide Italy to the final stages.
The Italian is said to be keen to return to club management after a two-year spell with the national team.
His club credentials are impeccable following three years of success with Juventus between 2011 and 2014; his Turin-based side won three consecutive Serie A titles, broke the league’s all-time points record, and appeared in a Champions League final.
But Chelsea’s new manger is also known as a strict disciplinarian, a meticulous tactician and a perfectionist, characteristics similar to the Blues last manager, Jose Mourinho who was sacked in December.
