David Moyes says the pressure on him to get a result at Anfield this weekend is just as high as it was at Everton or Manchester United.

Having always had the backdrop of a fierce derby to any clashes against Liverpool Moyes, who has never won at Anfield, heads to the red half of Merseyside with bragging rights on the line for the first time on Saturday.

West Ham come into the clash in a good vein of form, very much looking up the table as they further climb away from from the relegation battle.

Moyes, though, feels the pressure on himself to get a result at Anfield is no lesser than if it were a derby day, but has backed his side to continue their form against the top six.

“No, I don’t think for me there is [any less pressure],” Moyes said.

“I go there wanting to win and every time I don’t I get challenged on it, so I go there with a real determination and passion to win if I can.

“But it has always been a difficult place to get a result. I’ve had a lot of draws but West Ham went there two seasons ago and won.

“So I think we have had some good results recently against some of the bigger teams, you look at how we did against Tottenham at Wembley.

“We will have to call on all that good play and determination and organisation and planning to get us another good result.”
