Andros Townsend takes wise path

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has made a clever move going to Watford on loan.

The 19-year-old will have noted that almost every loanee leaves Vicarage Road a better player.

Manager Malky Mackay has already been impressed and said: "That left foot adds something else. He whipped in a couple of beautiful passes and his pace gives us another option. He is a fantastic young lad and showed his character by coming here rather than go to a Premier League club.

"It will take him a couple of weeks to get used to it. We have brought in other youngsters and we know exactly the recipe needed to make it work."
