Alexis Sanchez's coach at Arsenal may officially be Arsene Wenger, but the Chile star has revealed his mum advises him on his game and tells him to score more goals for the Gunners.

Sanchez has become a key player for Arsenal since arriving at the club from Barcelona last summer and, after scoring 25 goals in all competitions for the north Londoners last term, has begun this season in blistering fashion.

Despite a run of eight games without getting on the scoresheet at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, the 26-year-old has since scored nine times for both club and country in just five matches.

And Sanchez has now revealed the secret to his good form in front of goal after admitting his mother gives him tips about improving his performances - and his goal tally.

"My mum is always my coach," he said.

"She phones me and tells me to shoot at goal more often."

Sanchez is expected to start when Arsenal travel to play Watford on Saturday evening, with the Gunners hoping to keep up the pressure on league-leaders Manchester City with a win over the Hornets.
