Alexis Sanchez believes Sead Kolasinac is already demonstrating his value to Arsenal as the pair develop a promising partnership on the Gunners' left flank.
Kolasinac has proven himself to be one of the summer’s most inspired signings since his arrival on a free from Schalke.
After his match-winning display in Saturday’s 2-1 comeback win over Swansea, where he scored one and provided the assist for another, Kolasinac now has more goals and assists to his name at the Emirates this season (five) than either Alexandre Lacazette (four) or Sanchez (three).
The power and strength of the Bosnian international dovetails well with Sanchez, who is able to drift infield as the wing-back overlaps, and the forward is enjoying developing his partnership, even if Kolasinac is proving to be a tough opponent on the training ground.
“It’s tough [against him in training] because he’s strong and he’s hard to get around!” Alexis told Arsenal Player. “He’s a very experienced player and he’s really strong.
“When it matters [in games], he finds me and makes good passes so I can score. He is an intelligent player who can create good goalscoring opportunities.
“He’s already demonstrated his quality. He’s scored goals, provided assists and shown what he can do both in European and league games.”
The Sanchez-Kolasinac axis could be broken up for Sunday’s Premier League visit to Manchester City, with the latter battling to overcome a hip injury that forced his early withdrawal in the win over Swansea.
