AC Milan willing to pay over £5m to sign Adel Taarabt on permanent deal

AC Milan are already planning to turn Adel Taarabt’s loan from QPR into a permanent move in the summer and are willing to pay in excess of £5m for his signature.

Taarabt has made a big impression since joining the Italian giants last month, scoring two goals in four appearances.

The 24-year-old’s form has been all the more surprising having struggled to make much of an impact in the first half of this season while he was on loan at Fulham.

QPR signed the Moroccan international from Tottenham in 2010 and will consider whether to recall him to the squad should they win promotion back to the Premier League.

But Taarabt, who saw a move to Paris Saint Germain fall through in 2011, is already loving life at the San Siro and is keen to make the switch.

Only last week, he said: “I'm happy to have bounced back at AC Milan. It has been a dream for me.

“When I signed here, I always said that I had faith in my qualities, and that I thought I was up to playing for AC Milan. It's true that people were surprised because I wasn't playing at Fulham.

“I have spent here the best 10 days of my career. I have played in a wonderful stadium like that at Napoli. Then, at home to Bologna in another magnificent stadium. And then on Wednesday I played my first match in the Champions League (against Atletico Madrid).”
