Aaron Cresswell insists the West Ham players are not thinking about their summer break already, saying the Hammers will fight to finish in the top ten this season.

Slaven Bilic's side have recovered from a poor start to the campaign in what is their first season at the London Stadium to lose just three of their last 12 Premier League games.

The upturn in results since the beginning of December has lifted West Ham into ninth position in the league standings, with defender Winston Reid telling Standard Sport recently a ninth, eighth or seventh-placed finish this term would be "acceptable" considering the start the Hammers had.

Cresswell has echoed Reid's thoughts, admitting the team are working hard to ensure they end in the top 10 ahead of West Ham's London derby clash with Chelsea on Monday night.

"We’re not about to pack our suitcases, that’s for sure," Cresswell told West Ham's official website.

"With the lads we’ve got here, we’re not going to rest on our laurels and accept tenth or twelfth position.

"While there are points to play for, we’ll give it everything we’ve got week-in, week-out and try to get as many points on the board as we can between now and 21 May."
