After England's first match in Dublin for 20 years few will be rushing to invite them back.
A 0-0 draw was better than either side deserved after a game that Paul Scholes described as "a waste of an afternoon". And he was being generous.
With places to be won for marginally more important Euro 2016 qualifiers none of the players covered themselves in glory and by the end most viewers were likely begging for the tedium to stop.
Suffice to say ITV won't be getting killer ratings for their hour long highlights package at 10:30 this evening.
